Registration: No pre-registeration. Register the day of the race.

Cost: Free!

Time: Registration from 8:00-8:45 am. PLEASE SHOW UP EARLY TO PREVENT RACE DELAY!! Race begins at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Tie City Campground parking lot, Happy Jack Recreation Area.


Take Exit 323 off I-80 between Laramie & Cheyenne and follow the signs to the Happy Jack Recreational Area. Do not turn into the rest area–stay left and follow to get onto Happy Jack road (Highway 210). The Tie City parking area is on the right and marked with a sign, approximately 1 mile after turning onto the Happy Jack road.


Forest Service Fees: The Forest Service requires a $5.00 parking fee for this site, or a Medicine Bow-Routt permit. Self-serve parking tags are available at the site. Tickets are $80, so make sure you pay for a permit! You can also park at the Lincoln Monument Rest Area for free (approx. 2 miles) and car-pool in.

Aid Stations

The course is self-supported–THERE ARE NO AID STATIONS! Please plan accordingly and carry your own food/water if needed. Post-race water and food will be provided at the finish.


There will be awards for first, second, and third place finishers (men and women) in the following age categories:

0-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 and older
